Absolutely fantastic gym. Great location in the heart of a vibrant, college town. Welcoming to visitors with no pretense or ego. I had a great time training there while visiting Manhattan for work and bought some schwag to support them and represent when I'm back home. Just keep in mind that with a college and a military base nearby (and in the middle of the Wheat State) these guys and gals are strong! Lots of wrestlers and soldiers to pit yourself against. Can't wait for my next trip to the area.

Combative Sports Center is the home of SEVEN Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts. I have always felt welcome and right at home in this establishment. As a female, it can be very intimidating to join a marital arts gym where you’re the minority, but I have always been taken seriously amongst them. All of these men, women, and children have become my second family, and I am so thankful for this gym and its leaders. Every female deserves the opportunity to learn to defend herself, and I am quite lucky to be a part of something so profound. COME CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Leaving the Active Army after 14 years, I honestly didn't know how to transition. The counselors and staff (which some are veterans) helped me connect with other veterans whom are going through their own struggles.

5 BJJ black belts, with decades of combined experience. There is no place like CSC. A place where everyone is welcomed and offers a workout for the entire family. BJJ has been one of the most empowering things I’ve done, for my own personal growth. It’s built unshakable self confidence, discipline and a sense of community I would have never expected from a martial art. I’m forever grateful for CSC!!

I've taken my 7 year old there for several classes, and he's had a blast. I know Joe and Josh personally - they are great guys who love what they do and I trust them completely to train my son.... They and the rest of the trainers are awesome with the kids - they challenge them and encourage them to develop toughness, but it's always in a closely controlled and respectful environment, and they're constantly encouraging and cheering them on. I also know several guys who train there, and they love it, especially because Josh & Joe both fight professionally so they understand and can teach not just the physical skills but also the benefits in mindset from BJJ. They train female self-defense, too...

i have trained at almost every martial arts gym in my hometown of manhattan and surrounding area over the last 15+ years and i can say without doubt that this is the only quality self defense, MMA and jiujitsu offered in manhattan. Multiple blackbelts in Brazilian jiujitsu, Blackbelt coach in judo, Professional MMA fighters, Muay Thai kickboxing. Great crowd of tough, kind, and helpful training partners.
